Smart sensors

Soil moisture measurement

Sensors in the ground approximate soil moisture by measuring electrical conductivity. The underground component of the device takes measurements. It contains 2 kHz sine wave generator circuit and measuring electrodes of stainless steel. The overground part is responsible for radio communication (LoRa RFM98W module). The battery can be charged while in use with photovoltaic panel.

External measurement of air dustiness

The overground measuring devices control parameters of the air coming through the PM sensors and dry it in order to improve the accuracy of PM10 and PM2.5 laser measurements. Taken measurements are sent via LoRa or over the Wi-Fi.

Probes placed in the rivers and lakes are equipped with the cleaning subsystems. In the result, they can work in the highly contaminated environments. Sensors send their measurements via LoRa techonology.

Interior measurement of environmental parameters

Sensors placed in the buildings create a distributed system based on the newest specification of Bluetooth MESH. They can be divided into two types - clients and servers. The servers measure temperature, humidity and the quality of air. The clients aggregate the data from several devices. Because all of the sensors act as data relays, the network’s reach can be expanded by adding more of them.
